The NFL has formally proposed an 18 game schedule, adding two games to the existing 16, while eliminating two of the four meaningless pre season games so that the season wouldn't be any longer.
Sure, it's all about money - what isn't? - but what's not to like? Players and fans and media all agree on one thing; they all hate pre season games, and for good reason. It doesn't matter who wins or loses, and the top players see limited action for the most part. On top of all that, season ticket packages uniformly include those pre season games at regular game - ye gads! - prices. Yep, that's a total ripoff.
From the perspective of the Buffalo Bills, I think adding two more games could be especially helpful to the long term future of the Bills in Buffalo or Western New York anyway. If Toronto was gullible enough to cough up triple the revenue for one regular season game a season to be a part of the NFL, then why not have them pony up for TWO games?
Ralph C. Wilson, or a successor even, could enhance his franchise's revenue in this small market even more, while still having seven regular season home games in Orchard Park. Jared Allen Jersey Most Bills fans don't relish attending games in December anyway, unless the team is in a tight division race, and theoretically anyway, both Toronto "home" games would be played indoors when the Buffalo weather starts chillin' into November.
If we've learned one thing from the "Toronto Experience", its that while Toronto considers itself Major League in all respects - and its hard to argue against that when looking at Toronto's history in MLB, the NBA and NHL - the fact is, Toronto isn't really Chad Greenway Jersey

gung the best jerseys is ho about the NFL.
Sure, it could be its just because the Bills haven't been very good so far during this 5-year deal, and you can't blame Canadians for not getting overly excited about paying inflated prices to see the NFL in person, but I don't think that's all of it.
The Rogers Centre, for one thing, is a terrible venue - at least in comparison to the Ralph - in terms of viewing an NFL game. Even some of the Bills disappointing home losses over the past few years have been exciting for the most part, because Buffalo fans are die-hards who love to complain about their team while yelling their lungs out when the Bills give them even the tiniest glimmer of hope. It is, in short, a great atmosphere, with the exception of the few drunken idiots who litter all NFL stadiums and parking lots, and Buffalo has proven to be very supportive of the Bills even during down times.
Toronto? They'd turn out for a winner, maybe, even at the big prices, but other than that, I get the feeling they could care less. What I'm sayin' here, is that Toronto can be a huge asset to the Bills future in Buffalo, while not being a serious threat at all to snatch the team away to support on its own.
Having given all these great reasons for expanding the NFL schedule, I'm now going to shoot it down.
Even if the players get more money, You may like vikings jerseys it really isn't good for them. Last season, the Bills led the NFL with 20 players on injured reserve, and the league had a total of 297 players placed on IR over the 16-game season. Even two more games - regular season games we're talking - would increase that number.
I'll be quite surprised if the NFL Players Union can be sweet talked into adding the two games, unless its part of a larger good-faith effort towards a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
So while I don't think it WILL happen, I do think it will be good for the Buffalo Bills franchise if it happens, and right about now, it doesn't hurt to have at least a glimmer of hope on that score. You may like Brett Favre Jersey
